Carol,
I was just given the information from a Newberry descendant, and don't even know if I kept the source's name. I have my main computer in the shop, just using a back-up machine right now, so will look later on, and let you know. When I saw that Leonard wasn't one of my Moore family, I didn't go any further with it. However, here is his obit:
LEONARD MOORE, 92, OF 810 MAIN ST., MAN, Logan County, died May 4, 1988, at home after an apparent heart attack. He was a retired merchant and miner. He was former owner and operator of East End Grocery, Man. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of UMW. Surviving: daughter, Jettie Messer of Man; son, Daniel of Garretsville, Ohio; sister, Rachel Clark of Barboursville. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Cumberland Church of the Brother, Blowing Rock, Va., with the Rev. L. Myers Mullens officiating. Burial will be in Newberry Cemetery, Skeetrock, Va. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, Man, and one hour prior to service at the church. Miller Funeral Home, Clintwood, Va., is in charge of arrangements in Virginia.
