My grandparents were Andrew Jackson Diggs and Mamie (Mary Elizabeth)Hudgins Diggs.They lived on Rt. 611, Laban, Mathews Co. and were charter members of the Peniel Friends Church.My grandmother died in 1937 & is buried in Pear Tree cemetry but my grandfather went out of state for treatment of his cancerous jaw & died ~1946.He died in this unknown state(Ga. or Tex.?) and his body was donated ,as he requested, for research.I'm trying to find his birth & death dates. Rev.Wilber Diggs & my father, (Reid Diggs), had accompanied him for his treatments. I would greatly appreciate any comments or help in finding out more about my grandfather...jldiggs@mindspring.com
