Prior to the 1850 census only the head of household was listed on the census page. Others living in the home whether direct family, relatives, or servants were enumerated by gender & then by age range 0 to 5, 5 - 10, etc. No place of birth was listed.

Levi Sharps does not appear on the 1840 VA. census.
