Hello Ms Peck !
First I wanted to apologize if I used the wrong preferred last name to address you in the last post. My eyes don't work as well as they used to (smile).
I called the eldest 1st cousins (I'm among the youngest 4) and shared your post with them. After a day of digging, the oldest found out that our grandfather was born Oct. 4, 1883.
The information you sent is the correct information.
They all (cousins) know little bits of information though I have been compiling and recording it. Both Blendon and Crewe are in Nottoway County, Va. Crewe has never had a huge population and is unlikely another black family was in that small town with the same named members.
From the bottom of our hearts we all thank you!!
This new found information is not only reuniting many of us who haven't been in touch in years but, now has all of us working together to make all known info and pictures available to all of our future descendants.
