I know that Abel and James Romine joined the Cotinental Army from Montgomery County, Virginia, and that they "MAY" have been in Captain Porterfields Company? They show as being in the 11th Virginia Regiment. Can anyone give me any additional info on the brothers and maybe info on the 11th Regiment and possibly Captain Porterfields Company? One record states that Abel joined February 1777 and "DESERTED" in August of 1777?? All info on any part of these brothers would be great. Thanks in advance for any help. This is the only info on them that has been found so far. Abel must have lived in Montgomery County until about 1785??
