In 1945, newspapers for the area were: THE RADFORD NEWS JOURNAL, Radford, Va.; MONTGOMERY NEWS MESSENGER, Christiansburg, Va.; SOUTHWEST TIMES, Pulaski, Va.
The Radford News Jornal is no longer published; Montgomery News Messenger is now the NEWS MESSENGER, Christiansburg, Va., 24073, and may have the records from the Radford News Journal. The SOUTHWEST TIMES is still published in Pulaski, Va. and has copies of all their past papers on file.
