Thank you for your report on Reids Gap and Reids Creek, Nelson County, Virginia. My family, which include the Phillips, Hughes, Bryant, Powell, etc., lived in this area. Some of my Phillips family owned land in the Gulleysville area. If I am thinking of the right area, it is beautiful land. I commend your efforts on getting the names spelled correctly in the records. Most of my family left this area about the same time.
