I am interested in any information that might be out there about this couple. I have found very little about this couple.
I have record of him in the St. Peters Parish record as being born on 21 Aug 1748 in New Kent County, Virigina. I also found him listed in the Christ Church Parish records as being born 24 Aug 1748. This church was in Middlesex County, Virginia. My belief is that the last one might have been a baptism/christening date but it does state birth. It lists his full name and his father's name.
I have seen his wife listed as just Alice with unknown surname and also as Alice Lemay but no parentage listed for her. Was she a Lemay or his her maiden name unknown. I have seen dates for her as a birth of about 1758 and a death of 1798.
Some sources show them marrying about 1770 and some say about 1783 - the same year that William is said to have died.
I have also seen not of a will for William Turner Lemay but no mention of what county to look for that will in. I am assuming Hanover County, but not sure.
Any help with this couple would be great. I live in Tennessee so any help with how to get a copy of the will would be great too. I am not able to travel too much, but would like to get a copy to verify some of the info in my file.
