I am searching for the family of my ggg grandmother, Emily DUNCAN. I have very little to go on. Recently I have found that Emily was the child of Henry and Elizabeth DUNCAn. Henry was born in approximately 1793 in Virginia and died in DC between 1860 and 1870. Henry and Elizabeth moved the family from Virginia to DC between 1840 and 1850. In the household was their other daughter, Elizabeth, born in approximately 1844. Another child was always living in the househols, James H Smith but I don't know the relationship (he was also born in VA). After Henry's death, his widow is found in the household of James H Smith.
I am not positive Emily was born in Norfolk. However, I recently stumbled upon her burial records, which states she was from Norfolk, VA. Any info on this family line would be helpful.
