I have embarked on a project to catalogue and photograph all of the cemeteries of Chesapeake. Unfortunately, I cannot find a list of cemeteries, so I am stuck driving around searching. So far I have photographed New Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church Cemetery, Gibson Family Cemetery, and three that I have no names for. The first two are located on private property along Ballahack Road on the way to the Naval Activity. The other is in the Portlock area on the corner were Franklin meets Bainbridge. Anyone who can help me on these names would be a godsend. I am also looking for names and locations of other cemeteries to catalogue during my free time. I am sure there are a lot of church cemeteries out there, so please let me know where they are and I will try to get to them all. This data is being shared with the USGENWEB Tombstone project for all to view. Thanks in advance.
