I have been looking for Daniel Maccoy or Mc Coy and he had land in Maryland and VA but died in the 1780's or thereabouts. He had relatives in VA, but the property I'm looking for info on is located in Old Somerset, MD. He came from Sutherland, Scotland, according to an email I received. He had two plantations/land grants. I am not certain of much info yet, but his brothers or sons went south and then west. This may help a little.
