I am searching for information about the current owners of property in Northumberland that belonged to Joseph B. Lewis, Sr. in the mid-1800s. He died in 1884, but I do not know if he was living there at the time. He called his home "Featherland". To reach this property today, I am told that as you travel from Village to Callao, that you turn right onto a road that leads to Rainswood. When I look on a map, I wonder if that road is Rt. 600. The house was on the left, before you get to the Jones Ash Funeral Home. I understand that the house was demolished about three years ago, but that before the house was demolished there were boxwoods in front and a cemetery behind it. I am interested in contacting the present owners so that I can get permission to look at the cemetery. I will be searching County records, but thought some of you familiar with the back roads in Northumberland and the people living there today might have some suggestions.
