My ggggm was Martha C., married to Thomas Taylor of Lancaster Co, Va. In 1824 a land bounty warrant was issued to Martha C. and heirs of John McAdam for Rev. War service.
John of St. Stephens Parish was unmarried. Sisters of John married CONWAY, OPIE, KEENE, PAYNE and TAYLOR men. One sister, Martha, died unmarried. Brother George Thomas married Sarah Eustace Gaskins and had one son, John, before he died. Did John McAdam, son of George Thomas,have a daughter named Martha? Census records indicate my Martha, married to Thomas Taylor, was born between 1780 and 1790. Is anyone researching this McAdam family? I hav lots to share, but not what I need to make the connection.
