I am looking for any information about James Joseph Atwood b. abt 1760 in Westmorland Va. and d. abt. 1798 in Shenandoah Va. He was married to Sally (Sarah) Smith on 7-31-1784 in Shenandoah. They had at least one son which was my gg grandfather Gilbert Atwood b. 1-5-1786. Gilbert married Catherine Harrell on 10-6-1818 in Fredrick, Va. Catherine was born 5-11-1796 in Page Co. Va. Any information would be greatly appreciated on any of the Atwoods or Smith or Harrell families. I hope to visit this area this month, and if anyone has any info as to who to ask (courthouse and location or geneology location) please let me know. Thanks Paul Atwood
