you can access the obits from the Harrisonburg newspaper (DNR)
further down on the left side of the home screen are links to some other area newspapers.
the DNR archives for a few weeks only
the weekly papers like the Elkton Valley Banner publishes on Thrusday and wipes all away the next Wednesday
the weeklies do not archive
good searching
