Subject: weavers and simmons page co VA
I am trying to find information and ancestry of my great great grandparents James William Weaver born Sept.2, 1815 who died abt 1899 in Page Co. and Christina Ann Simmons b.Sept.26,1811, d.1883 who he married. I have seen him listed
as tailor and saddler and also as postmaster in Luray.
1880 Page County, Virginia Census lists James, wife Ann and children.

My grandmother was Annie Louise Weaver born in Luray in 1885,d. 1974 Roanoke Va., the only daughter of Lewis McHenryWeaver, born abt 1846 , died abt 1890 and Ella Modesitt, born abt 1850 in Luray , died abt 1888 in Luray. Grandmother's parents died when she was young and she was brought up by
the Groves (Dr. Birnam Grove, wife Bessie??) in the Luray VA area.
