Anderson Perry Louderback married Mary Ellen Sturgill in Lawrence Co., Ohio in 1871. But I'm not sure where he was from before that. There is a record of a Perry Louderback born around 1837 in Page Co., Va., to Reuben Louderback. Mary Ellen Sturgill's stepmother was also a Louderback. It is not known whether she was related to Anderson Perry. Her name was Sarah Ann "Sally" Louderback. Her first husband was a Holmes and then she married Mary Ellen's father Elihu Sturgill. Elihu was himself a Virginia native, coming from Grayson County. This marriage took place in 1872, a year after Mary Ellen's marriage to A.P. Louderback. The Perry Louderback born in Page Co. had a sister named Sarah. Can this be the same family? (By the way, for any Louderback researchers who stumble on this post and have seen previous posts by me on this subject: Anderson Perry Louderback IS NOT the same as Anderson Louderback, b. 1836 in Bracken County, Kentucky, as I had previously believed and widely posted. That Anderson married someone else in Missouri in 1870.) -- Frank Taylor
