According to my grandmother's obituary, Belle France Davis(1894-1973), her parents' John T. France b.1871 and Lucinda E. Via France b. 1871 lived in Patrick County.
Could someone substantiate this for me. The France family would raise their children in Henry County, but why did the obituary say that her parents were of Patrick County? Genealogical research comes with so many mysteries!
My grandmother was very, very light skinned, and her sister had long red hair. And I am black.
