I know that these families inter-married from the time they were in Halifax Co.,VA - maybe even earlier in Bedford Co.,VA and also in this are of the Dan River in Pittsylvania Co.,VA and Hnery/Patrick Co.,VA,
In 1850 a Boyd family was living next door to Samuel Hooker age 22 and his wife, Sethe, and Samuel was also just one house from his father Gabriel Hooker (age 46 in 1850) who was married to Nancy Pack. Woould like to know who this Elizabeth who was married to the male Boyd on the census in Patrick Co.,VA in 1850?
On the previous page there are a Hyram Chandler next to Wm Hooker (Gabriel Hooker's father) and Greenville Pack with wife Sarah; they named a son (age 15) in 1850 Gabriel..
I am interested in finding out the surnames of these wives listed.
Would like to correspond with nay person researching any of these above surnames.
