Finny was another very early settler and patented much land throughout the county, but more especially along Banister River, where he seemed to make his home. In 1746, William Harris was overseer at "Finnywood," and at this time Finny conveyed to him several entries of land. On one occasion Finny Isaac Winston, Jr., a "pistole" for 400 acres on Bye Creek of Banister River, a pistole being a spanish coin worth $4.67. This could hardly indicate the value of lands at that time. Notify Administrator about this message?
