Where was Pocahontas Town, 1773?

In his will made in the fall of 1773, George Walker (III), married to Jane (Curle) Walker, and son of George Walker and Anne Keith left to his son (George Jr) "the Lot of Land in Pockahontas (sic) Town at the Falls of Appomattox with a Landing place on the River of Appomattox". This is probably part of the land earlier referred to as "George Walker's Plantation", which seems to have been near the mouth of Bush River. But it may have been on some other parcel of land he owned.

I have seen the Falls referred to as near Petersburg, but I don't think he ever lived there. At the time he died he called himself George Walker Senior of the County of Elizabeth City, which is where he was born. He appears to have moved to Prince Edward "terrirory" between 1735 and 1739, when he became a justice of the (then) Amelia Co. Court. He left during the fall of 1755, apparently moving back to Elizabeth City. His son and daughter continued to live in Prince Edward, though I really don't know whether they left any descendants.

Are (or were) there any falls in that part of the Appomattox?
