Dear Mr. Anderson:
I am trying to find some info for Mena Bonn Smith who just celebrated her 75th birthday. She is my brother in law's
mother in law.(confusing) She lived on this farm in Prince
Edward until she graduated from High School, then she moved to Richmond where she boarded and met her husband Norman Smith from Arkansas, they married, he took a position with the Louisa Co Sch. System. He was a great person and the teenagers really benefitted from his service for almost 40 yrs. He was Coach to lots of young people.
It seems Mena's grandfather was quite wealthy, owned several
tobacco warehouses in Richmond. He lost everything gambling so her father moved the family to the country home to take care of everyone. The grandfather probably died in Pa. penniless.
If you can find any info on these people, I would greatly appreciated it. Thanks again.
