I am descended from James Mickle and Jane Elam. She was his first known wife. He had more children by his 2nd wife. I will have to find my notes, as I have not worked on this in a while. Do not have James's parents although I have in my notes the place in Scotland he was from. I believe it was on a census record. His daughter, Harriet Mickle married my gg grandfather, Stephen C. Fore (son of Stephen A. Fore). I also have quite a bit on the Elams. But most of James Mickle's children were by his second wife. He lived to be quite old and left a will.
