JONATHAN F. HOFF (1775 Near Manassas, Pr. William Co., VA -D: Dec 1812 on Duck Creek, Fearing Twp., Washington Co., OH), wife: ELIZABETH "BETSY" DUNCAN (1785 PA - 1839 Washington Co., OH). Does anyone know the exact location of the farm or exact burial locations of these two individuals? He and his young family, including son, POWELL HOFF, then age 4, and his recently widowed mother, SUSAN SOPHIA MOFFETT HOFF (D: 16 July 1819), and the extended Hoff and Dye family members, all reportedly came in 1805 via flatboat down the Ohio River to near the mouth of Cow Run, Fearing Twp or Lawrence Twp., Washington Co., OH). The widowed mother of JONATHAN and former spouse of the Rev'd DANIEL HOFF (1746 Raritan, Somerset Co., NJ - 1797 Nr. Manassas, Pr. William Co., VA) and numerous other HOFF siblings, the 2 1/2 DYE brothers, SAMUEL and JOHN, Sr. who married the two daughters of Danile and Susan, and collateral family pioneers of the Hills, Cayhills from Northern Virginia.I have a copy of his estate asset accounting dating from 1812, but not his will. His widow lived on until 1839 and is presumed to have been buried in Mound Cem., Marietta, Wash'g Co., OH.
If so, please advise me DIRECTLY at: John S. Hoff, 20 So. Clark St., #2210, Chicago, IL 60603 (312) 346-8111 or via E/M <jsh@aviationattorney.com>
