WILLIAM MOFFETT (Rev.) of Prince William Co., VA 1800
Looking for info about the Rev. WILLIAM MOFFETT, father of SUSAN SOPHIA MOFFETT, wife of the Rev. DANIEL HOFF (1746 NJ - 1802 VA). He is believed to have been from the orthern Virginia area and in 1805 travelled with his widowed daughter and her children from Alexandria, VA to Washington Co., OH down the Ohio River via 'flat boat'. He is not found in the 1810 Census in Washington Co., OH, so I believe that he died within several years after his arrival in Ohio, and before 1810. His religious denomination is unknown, as is his spouse, other children (if any), and where and when he was born. His exact burial site in Ohio is also unknown. Every web-site has been checked and there is no trace as to his origins.
I am a descendent of him and his daughter, SUSAN SOPHIA MOFFETT HOFF (and husband, DANIEL HOFF), and their son, JONATHAN F. HOFF (1775-1812).
I'd appreciate any insight as to this line of the MOFFETT/MOFFITT/MOFFAT Family and the Rev. WILLIAM MOFFETT of Northern Virginia (about ~1760 - ~1809).
