Clark/Clarke & Hager families mid 1800s northern VA

I have an Isaac Hager CLARK/Clarke b/about 1847 VA. Lived in the Loudoun & Prince William area of VA.
Marries Susan/Sarah SMALLWOOD before 1871 and dies/disappears before the 1880 census where I find Susan and three children are living in Mercer, Loudoun Co., Va.
with her brother.
Wondering if HAGER is a family name!
Any assistance appreciated
