Hello,

I'm afraid I can't help you with the location of the cemetery, but were you aware of Silas Haislip (c.1822-1884) of Falmouth and Fredericksburg? In 1868 Silas was granted a license "to keep a Hotel in the Town of Falmouth." The local newspaper carried two notices pertaining to Silas. The first stated, "An old and respected citizen, and a grocer on Commerce street, attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head with a pistol Tursday. The old gentleman has been in bad health for some time past, and it is supposed that his ailments and mental depression therefrom, were the cause of the rash act. Yesterday afternoon his condition was regarded as extremely critical. His recovery is not expected" (Fredericksburg Star, Sept. 6, 1884). A few eays later, the newspaper reported his death (Fredericksburg Star, Sept. 10, 1884).

Sincerely,
Jerrilynn Eby MacGregor
