Newton Vanwinkle - TX 1900

I have reason to believe Newton Vanwinkle born Jan 1866 IL married Lena (possibly Smith) b.Jul 1877 TX are the great grandparents of the person I am assisting in her family history. My friend's mother was Lena Ruth Dorsey. She is the daughter of William Samuel and Maude (Vanwinkle) Dorsey. In searching the census records, I found Newton and Lena and their children 1900 Dallas Co., TX: Gracie, Maudie, Raymond and Opal. I am unable to locate this family in TX in 1910 or 1920. Unable to locate anything on Raymond (death/marriage/census records). He was born Jul 1897. All children were born in TX.

Newton Vanwinkle may have used a different name in other census years. If anyone has a slight bit of a connection, I would appreciate the help.
