I am looking for information about the ancestors of my great grandfather, James Franklin Van Winkle (born 1884) who married Ida Olivia Spiker (born 15 August 1886). James and Ola (as she was called) resided in McDonough County, IL for several years after their marriage, then relocated to Stark County, IL where both lived until their deaths. Both are buried in Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville, McDonough County, IL.
Ola's brother, Tilden Spiker, was married to Myrtle Blanche Van Winkle who was reportedly born in 1888 in Blandinsville. I am unsure if Myrtle was James' sister, but their marriages within the Spiker family may indicate they were related somehow.
Any information about possible Van Winkle ancestors residing in or near McDonough County or relatives to the Van Winkles who resided there would be greatly appreciated.
