Hello. I am a descendant of the Van Winkle family. My mom's maiden name was Jacqueline "Jackie" Van Winkle, and her father's name was James David Van Winkle, and his father was George W. Van Winkle (and so on).
I'm 31 years old now, and my mom has passed. I'm trying to piece together family history from what little I know. I have a pretty good tree going so far on the Van Winkle side.
In the late 1980's I remember going with my mom to a Van Winkle family reunion in KY. Her aunt's name was "Aunt Deanie", that's all I knew her by, but I remember seeing her there. It was a nice bunch of people! Does anyone know is they do family reunions anymore? I'd love to connect with some relatives, and let my kids discover what an extensive family we have! Thanks for any info!
