This is not my line, but if you did find his ancestry you should probably post it here for future researchers along with your source. I was looking most closely at Asa and Cynthia (Forbes) Perham, but couldn't find the necessary proof. Which couple did turn out to be his parents?

There was a lot of info online about Jonathan Perham (one of the early settlers of Athens) and his relative Ezekiel who came in 1795. The Asa(b.1788) I was looking at was a son of that Ezekiel and Asa (b.1788) was the only Perham who had a son age 5-10 on the 1830 census that I couldn't identify. I was thinking maybe it was Salmon. I know Ezekiel came to VT from MA. If this is the correct line I do have access to some early MA records if you need further help. The reason I wanted to see Salmon on the 1880 census was to see if he gave his father's birthplace as MA.
