Thank you very much. My 5G grandfather was JOSEPH POWERS, b.7 SEP 1748-d 1 DEC 1826 in Ferrisburgh, Addison, VT If this helps, his parents were NATHANIEL POWERS b: 15 JUL 1720 in Littleton, Middlesex, MA-d 17 NOV 1776 or 1777 in Charlestown, Sullivan, NH and HANNAH HARTWELL b 12 APR 1723 in Littleton, Middlesex, MA d ABT 1793 in Charlestown, Sullivan, NH The DAR responded and supplied some information on Joseph POWERS and his brothers. I don't know if you have more or different info that they have, as some of what they said conflicts with what I have (wrong dates mainly) In their index they do not have Simon, Luke (but I think Luke was a corporal), the Nathaniel they provided is incorrest, no Whitcomb, Abner's death date is different (my info says he died in 1852 and DAR says he died in 1825 so probably a typo from my information). I am especially interented in Joseph as he is my direct line but am curious about his brothers as well, because of the 7 who fought, only one died in the war and I can't figure out who that was. SIMON POWERS (b 13 OCT 1741) Sorry that's all the info I have was from a previous marriage and he may have been to young to serve. His mother was Hannah HOAR (Sorry, no dates for her) Brothers are: SIMEON POWERS b: 7 DEC 1743 in Littleton, Middlesex, MA d: 7 DEC 1743 in Littleton, Middlesex, MA JOSEPH POWERS b: 7 SEP 1748 in Littleton, Middlesex, MA c: 14 JUL 1751 in New Salem, Franklin, MA d. 1 DEC 1826 in Ferrisburgh, Addison, VT LUKE POWERS b: 28 JAN 1752 in Littleton, Middlesex, MA NATHANIEL POWERS b: 1754 in Brattleborough, Windham, VT, d: BEF 4 MAR 1804 in Yonge, Leeds, Ontario, Canada WHITCOMB b: 5 JAN 1756 in Charlestown, Sullivan, NH d: ABT 1831 ABNER POWERS b: 15 DEC 1760 in Springfield, Addison , VT d: 25 SEP 1852 in St. Charles, Kane, IL THOMAS POWERS b: 1762 in Springfield, Addison, VT d: ABT 1837 Again, thank you very very much, Mary McGuire Notify Administrator about this message?
