Greetings Everyone,
I've been recently helping my grandmother (Anne Catherine Waddey Plant) to research the Waddey family history. The book you mentioned, The Waddey's of Williamson county is an EXCELLENT resource, full of family history and wonderful stories. I too have been trying to trace John Waddy back to England and will let you know what I find. My research points strongly to that John Waddy probably came from the area of Yorkshire England.
