Hi John,
My decent from Col. William Preston is through his daughter, Susanna (1772-1833), who married Nathaniel Hart, Jr. (1770-1844). My genealogy can be found at http://www.geocities.com/wmlabach/. I recall seeing something once about a portrait of Elizabeth Waddy who married Francis Smith being in existence. I don't recall the reference now and never have located the painting if it exists.
