I am researching the REYNOLDS family of Presteigne.
Head of house William REYNOLDS (b.cir 1816), Spouse Ellen nee LEWIS (b.cir 1811).
There were 3 children Thomas REYNOLDS [My link] (b. 25 Apr 1838), Mary Ellen REYNOLDS (b.cir 1834) & Eliza REYNOLDS (b.cir 1836).
Thomas married Ann BREEZE (b.cir 1839) on 9 Dec 1860. They had 7 Children. Eliza [My link] (b. 30 Oct 1876), Leonard (b.cir 1880), Margaret (b.cir 1875), Louise (b.cir 1877), Mary Ann (b.cir 1870), Henry (b.cir 1863) & Ellen (b. 1863).
Ellen married Thomas George JONES and they had 10 children. They migrated to Australia where Ellen became a very successful and respected midwife. In the town of Collie a memorial was errected to her memory following her death on 13 October 1953. It bears the inscription "Mother to a thousand miners".
Eliza married Charles Percival SPENCER [My grandfather] on 26 April 1896 and had 6 children.
I understand the some of the REYNOLDS migrated further south to Abergavenny. Has some one news of this branch? I would welcome any information.
