I am researching the JONES family, originally of Radnorshire, who immigrated to Australia. The husband Thomas George JONES arriving in 1899, followed by his wife and family who landed at Bunbury in May of 1901.
Thomas married Ellen REYNOLDS in May of 1887. They had 10 children:
Edith (1888 – 1970), Alice (b.cir 1890), Thomas (b.1893), Herbert (b.cir. 1895), Frances (b. 1898), Ellen (b.cir 1899), George (b.cir 1900), Winifred (b.cir 1902), John (b.cir 1904) and William(b.cir 1910).
They finally settled in Collie, where Ellen snr. became a midwife. There is a statue erected to her in the town centre.
I am interested in contacting or tracing any descendants with a view to not just adding to my family tree, but also constructing a history of their life in a new country.
