Buckner Walker's claim filed with the Southern Claims Commission for reimbursement of items taken from him during the Civil War gives quite a bit of information. This can be found on Ancestry.com under public stories. Buckner said he was born in Towns Co., Georgia. He was 69 years old when making his claim in April 1875. He wife was Selethy. He stated he had five sons and two son-in-laws. His sons were: Isaac Buckner Jr Memory Robert H. James H. Sons-in-law were: C. P. Cook Joseph Burger Selethy also gave a testimony as did son Isaac who was 31 at the time. For those researching this Buckner Walker, the claim gives lots of background information and clearly identifies children. Note that this Buckner would have been born in 1806. He is not the son of Capt. George Walker and Eleanor Hicks. Ruth Notify Administrator about this message?
