Do you know who Richard Walkers ancestors are? I have been trying to make contact with descendants of Revolutionary War soldier Richard Walker who married Anson Swearingen on Dec. 12, 1790 in Burke Co., North Carolina. They had sons James, John, and Edward. Anson's brother Richard Cheek Swearingen had descendants who lived in Carrol Co., Arkansas. I am descended from another of Anson's brothers, Van Swearingen. My Swearengin ancestors ended up in Douglas Co., MO after spending a generation in Jackson Co., TN.

Richard and Anson also had two daughters: Polly who married Thomas Venable and Sarah who married James Billington. Son James was b. ca 1794 in Burke Co., NC and died in Marshall Co., TN. Son John was b. ca 1798 in NC and don't know what became of him. Son Edward was b. ca 1806 in NC and died in McNairy Co., TN. Richard was born 1755 in Virginia and died Jan 31, 1831 in Bedford Co., TN and Anson was born Aug 22 1768 in Anson Co., NC and died 1855 in Marshall Co., TN and was the youngest child of Samuel Swearingen Jr and wife Mary.
