Helen Walker 1710-1791 Irongray, Kircudbright. (Jeannie Deans)

One of my ancestors is reputed to be related to Helen Walker, whose true-life experience made her the model for Walter Scott's heroine, Jeannie Deans, in his novel "The Heart of Midlothian".
[Helen walked barefoot from Dumfries to London, 14 days 300 miles, to successfully obtain a Royal pardon for her condemned sister, Isabelle].
Helen was born 1710 Irongray and died there in 1791. To the best of my knowledge she never married, though her sister did, to someone by the name of Waugh, and settled in Whitehaven, Cumberland. The two were orphaned when Isabelle was young and Helen raised her.
Quite how my ancestor, Sarah Walker 1792-1872 Irongray, descends from her I can't work out. Helen and Isabelle may have had a brother or cousin? My Sarah's parents were John Walker c1757-1840 Irongray and Diana Linton c1764-1834 Irongray.
[Diana's parents were John Linton and Margaret McMillan but I don't have parents for John].
Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
