I am not connected to this family but saw an old 1854 Bible on Ebay that had all this in it, hope it's helpful to this family, when a ? is given, that means I can't read the letter or words

Some of what Anna Parks writes: this bible belonged for many years to my father, john a. wallace. all during my childhood and indeed until our home (713 kerlin st, chester, Pa.) was broken up.(about a year after my fathers death in 1915) it rested on an oval heavy walnut table in my mothers and fathers room. my mother gave it to me and I desire mary ann to have it. (there is a family record in it) signed Anne W. Parker, April 30,1933 Roanoke, Va.

Mrs. Sara Gertrude Wallace Ballard Born in Brooklyn, NY, wife of William Wirt Ballard.
Descendant of Maj. John Pawling and of Ensign Stephen Griffing.
Daughter of John Alva Wallace and Emmeline Coyle, his wife.
This ties in that David Wallace (Anna Wallace Parks) said was her grandfather (father of John Alva Wallace) was married to her Grandmother Gertrude Wallace (can’t read name wrote beside it)
A Gertrude Kincherbacker Pawling married David Wallace and had a daughter known of Lavinia.
This would be the same David & Gertrude Wallace family in this. Who has children: Mary C., John Alva., Sarah E., Archibald, Lovenia, and George W. Wallace.
The John Pawling it mentions in the DAR is Gertrude Pawling’s grandfather John Pawling. Gertrude's father was Levi Pawling.
Hope all this might helps in tying everyone together and may prove that this John Pawling was in fact the same as Sara Gertrude Wallace Ballard ancestor John Pawling that made her a member of the DAR.
