Hope to find information on my gggrandfather's sister Nancy Elizabeth Roberson, lovingly called Bett. She married McLean Wallace (Wallis) possibly in Wayne County TN or nearby northern Alabama or the Plano, TX area. In the 1900 Collin County TX Census we find Nancy Wallace as a widow with four young children to support as a washerwoman. The family was living west of Plano, TX renting a house and nearby neighbors were Wesley Cook, Zachariah Cook and John Cook.
Nancy's children were:
Pearl Wallace b. June 1889,
Oscar D. Wallace b. Aug 1891 and married Lettie June ???. Oscar went by D. Wallace in adult years. Had a son named Stanley.
Arthur T. Wallace b. Mar 1893 and married Alice ???. Had a son named Hallis or Harry.
Gertrude Wallace b. March 1895
Both boys are located in San Angelo, TX for the 1920 Census, both married and working. Their mother possibly remarried, but do not know when or who she married. The daughters also possibly married, but have not found a marriage record, or who they married.
McLean Wallace was probably born about 1850-1860. Does he fit into anyone's family? My grandfather always referred to him as Lean Wallace.
