Who was the John Wallace <1776 and bef.> who is listed in 1810 Elizabeth Twp, Ohio Co. VA[now WVA]? with 8 others? I doubt if he is the same person as the John Cadwellander Wallace (b. c. 1756/IRE) who md. Hannah McConnell, (b. 1779/KY) as I expect they were in Ross Co. Ohio in 1810, because they are known to have gone there earlier and are found there later in 1820 Buckskin Twp, Ross Co. OH census. Trouble is Ross Co. OH census does not being until 1820, so can't prove where they were in 1810. While I presume John C. and Hannah (Wallace) McConnell stayed put in Ross Co. Ohio and were still there in 1810, I could be more sure about this if we could eliminate this unk. John Wallace in 1810 Elizabeth Co [W]VA,meaning if we can prove he is someone else.
