I wanted to post a notice that I have found the information I was seeking on Mary Elizabeth Gabaudan. From information just discovered this past week, following is a chronology of events: 1852/1853 -- Both Eliza Wheeler Gabaudan and Mary Elizabeth Gabaudan leave Marietta, Washington County, Ohio, to go to live with Catharine Wheeler Gabaudan Ross in Greenupsburg, Greenup County, KY. 1856 -- Eliza Wheeler Gabaudan dies in Greenupsburg, but is taken back to Marietta, Washington County, Ohio, where she is buried with her husband John Gabaudan (1780-1852). 1858 -- On September 7, Mary Elizabeth Gabaudan marries Alexander R. Maddox (1830-1889?) of West Virginia. They set up a residence in Greenupsburg. 1860 -- A.R. Maddox and Elizabeth M. Maddox appear in this Census living in Greenupsburg, KY. 1865/1866 -- Alexander and Elizabeth Maddox move to Galva, Henry County, Illinois. 1870 -- Alexander and Elizabeth and their children are living in Galva in the 1870 Federal Census. 1880 -- Alexander and Elizabeth and their children are living in Galva in the 1880 Federal Census. 1889 -- Alexander dies? (Waiting for confirmation) Elizabeth moves to Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois with her son George. 1900 -- Elizabeth is listed in the household of her oldest son George, in Galesburg, IL., in the 1900 Federal Census. 1910 -- Elizabeth is again listed in the household of her oldest son George, still in Galesburg, IL., in the 1910 Federal Census. 1915 -- On October 10, 1915, Mary Elizabeth Gabaudan Maddox dies in Galesburg, Knox County, IL., and is buried in the Linwood Cemetery there. I appreciate the willingness of people in this group to assist, but I have all the information I need now. If anyone needs assistance with records here in Kansas City, Missouri, or the surrounding small communities, please don't hesitate to contact me, and I will endeavor to do what I can! Thank you, again. Notify Administrator about this message?
