Kermit was born about 1920. He was the test pilot on the famous multi-engined B-36 Bomber built by Convair. Everyone called him by his nickname "Dusty." In the 1960's he decided to apply to Grumman Aerospace Corp. as a design engineer, and was assigned to my group. He was the engineer assigned to the In-Flight Performance Monitor Test System for the E2A early warning and control aircraft, still in service with the Navy. He did an outstanding job, but decided to leave the comapany after a few years. The last I heard of Kermit, he was working somewhere in Florida, and apparently died there about 1986. Any relatives or descendants of Kermit have a right to be very proud of him.
