I have a Josiah WHEELER who was born about 1783 in Connecticut. He may have had a wife before the one I have down, Don't know. He married a Rebecca HOWARD born about 1788 in New York. The marriage probably also occurred somewhere in New York. They moved to Tecumseh, Lenawee, Michigan before 1830. Between 1810-1817, her family moved to Wentworth county, Ontario, Canada.
Josiah died between 1860-1870 censuses in Lenawee. (or Washtenaw county if the family moved there before he died) Rebecca moved to Sylvan, Washtenaw, Michigan with their son Lucius (also listed in census as Lewis). Rebecca died between 1870-1880 in probably Washtenaw county, Michigan. Lucius died between 1870-1880 censuses in Washtenaw county, Michigan. Lucius's wife Harriet remarried to a man name Jacob GASS and moved to Kansas with the WHEELER children by 1880 census.
I don't know if Josiah and Rebecca had other surviving children.
I do find a church record admitting Josiah WHEELER to the First Congregational Church and Society of Clinton, Michigan in 1843. He went there from the Methodist E. Church in Clinton, Michigan. There was also a Clark WHEELER admitted in 1843 to the same church and a note that Clark died in 1846.
Other WHEELERs who may be Josiah's possible relatives in Lenawee county,. Michigan and also born in Connecticut are Caleb WHEELER, Oscar WHEELER, and Jedidiah WHEELER.
