The August 2008 issue of MAINE ANTIQUES DIGEST magazine in an advertisement on p. 22-A pictures portraits of Franklin (b. 1802)& Mehitable (b.1808) Wheeler in 1827. These fine portraits should be made known to the Wheeler families. I am scanning them in case any of their descendants might like copies, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Wheeler family ought to have them--they are too good to be missed by the family. They may not have extensive genealogy value, but they certainly do have a whole lot of family, artistic, and historic value.
