Found this wedding announcement on same page as my ancestor's obit. From the paper "The Kidder County news" (Steele, Kidder County, ND) published by Harold L. Hanson and Jadee N. Johnson, 5 Dec 1940. (microfilm 00151 at NDSHS in Bismarck, ND).
"Miss Ethel Whipple Weds Burdette Morrison Sunday
Wedding bells ran in Robinson [ND] last week when Miss Ethel Whipple of Chasely became the bride of Burdette Morrison of Robinson. The bride is the daughter of Harvey Whipple of Chasely and Mr. Morrison is the son of Bert Morrison of Robinson. Congratulations!"
