The book Old Kittery and Her Families by Everett S. Stackpole has several things on the William Whipple's family including a portrait of the Gen. Wm. Whipple signer of the Declaration of Indepence, the Garrison House where they lived, and the book also includes old maps etc. showing where "Spruce Creek" was/is, Cutts Island etc If you have family from this area this is a must have book for the pictures and maps alone, not to mention all of the connecting genealogies given in this fairly large book. I believe Picton Press in Camden, ME was selling a re-issue of this book a few years ago. Some folks may be lucky enough to find a copy of this book in their local library or perhaps its even online somewhere. Just thought I would post this in case some didn't know this book contained this info and pictures though. Notify Administrator about this message?
