John and Thomas Whipple Dutchess Co. NY 1790

I am intersted in anyone reserching these two gentlemen. They were living in Amenia, Dutchess County, New York in 1790. There is also a Thaddeus Gilbert living there who supposedly married a Patience Whipple. A William Whipple bought land from Thaddeus Gilbert Jr. Thaddeus Gilbert Jr. bought this land from John and Sally (Gilbert) Wooldridge in 1821. I believe Sally Gilbert was a daughter of Thaddeus and Patience (Whipple) Gilbert. John and Sally (Gilbert) Wooldridge moved on to Smyrna, Chenango County, NY by 1820. Looking for the Whipple/Gilbert connection.
