My Great Aunt Grace's grandfather was Samuel Whipple.

Our Fisher family Bible begins the "Whipple" side with Samuel Whipple (b.9/23/1848 Ashtabula, OH, d. 5/18/39 Henderson, KY) and his wife Estella Marrell Ames (b. 12/25/18857 Steuben Co., NY, d. 10/13/1899 Florence, AL). They lived in Cleveland, MN (LeSeuer County) during the late 1800's.

The Bible lists Mary O. Whipple (Fisher) (b. 12/16/1878 Cleveland, MN, d. 7/12/45 Henderson, KY) and her husband, Thomas Henry Fisher (b. 6/25/1876 Cincinnati, OH, d. 1/19/52 Henderson, KY) and their children, Roy T. Fisher(b. 9/18/01 Ionia, MI) and Grace E. Fisher(Riddle) (b. 8/30/03 Ionia, MI), down through my mother, Grace Francis Octavia Fisher(Priest)(b. 01/07/64 West Palm Beach, FL), her brother and cousins.

The 1850 Census of Ashtabula, Ohio lists the parents of Samuel Whipple as Josiah Russell Whipple (b. 20 Feb 1800 or Feb 25 1801 Tolland, CT) and Eunice Hazen (b 3 July 1810 New Hampton, VT, died 12 Oct 1881 Minnesota).

Josiah Russell Whipple is the son of Zebulon Whipple (b. 26 Apr 1764 CT, d. 5 Sep 1851 OH) and Lydia Russell.
